Rapporteur for EU Policy Meeting on materials modelling

Rapporteur for EU Policy Meeting on materials modelling

Keston Technologies' principal, Richard Ball, recently assisted as Rappoteur with a new initiative by the European Commission in materials modelling.

In order to kick-start the development of a Policy for Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology (AM&N) Modelling, Simulation and Design, a one day meeting was held on 27th February 2014 in Brussels to exchange points of view among a range of stakeholders from the EU’s materials modelling community. The meeting was organized by the EC Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, Directorate D — Key Enabling Technologies, Unit D.3 — Advanced Materials and Nanotechnologies. Based on the input from a number of experts in the field of material modelling, the European Material Modeling Council (EMMC) has subsequently been formed.
